Bruce W. Fleming - Founder & President, Canusa Corporation

Bruce W. Fleming has built a career in the paper and recycling industries beginning with Canusa's founding in 1981. Fleming’s interest in paper and recycling was sparked at Princeton University where he resurrected the University’s floundering recycling program and completed his senior thesis on an economic history of recycling in the paper industry.

After completing three years of work for Garden State Paper Company, the world’s first 100% recycled newsprint mill, Fleming established his own paper and fiber brokerage organization.

In 2002, Fleming merged Canusa’s recycling operations with its most significant competitor, Hershman Recycling, to form Canusa Hershman Recycling, LLC. Subsequently CHRC helped co-found Newport CH in Orange, CA a company focused on selling into the growing Asian market. CHRC now trades an average of 200,000 tons per month of fiber, plastic resins and metals in the United States and abroad.

Fleming holds his B.S. from Princeton University and his J.D. from The George Washington University.
