LEED Certified Headquarters

In 2008, Canusa opened its refurbished LEED® certified headquarters in Baltimore’s historic Fells Point neighborhood. After purchasing the historic 200+ year-old building listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003, Canusa transformed the building from an empty shell to a modern, environmentally friendly office space. Notable features include recycled flooring and surfaces, energy-efficient lighting, plumbing and HVAC, and other “green” products, including functional furniture made from corrugated sheets.

Solar Energy

Canusa, through its affiliates, has developed solar arrays in Vermont and Maryland. In total, the sites produce approximately 850,000 kWh annually and enable our sites of approximately 200,000 square feet to operate independently from the grid.
