Canusa Hershman Recycling Company ("CHRC") was formed in June, 2002, by the merger of Canusa Corporation's Fiber Group and Hershman Recycling, Inc., bringing together two of the pre-eminent independent recycling companies in the United States.

With more than 135 years of experience in trading secondary fiber and other recyclable commodities, CHRC is able to serve virtually every market in the world. The new organization was created to maintain pace with the changing and consolidating forest products industry as well as to explore new markets for other commodities, especially plastics and metals. In 2005 and 2006, the Company expanded its plastics trading unit from two to seven traders and foresees continued growth in this sector.

CHRC and its partner companies now manage the flow of more than 100,000 tons of fiber and three million pounds of plastics and other materials per month. The company has a dozen offices and processing facilities across North America including Baltimore and Annapolis Maryland; Branford, Connecticut; Rochester and Williamsville, New York; St. Albans, Vermont; Montreal, Quebec; and Miami, Florida.

Through its 50% ownership of Newport CH International, based in Brea, California, CHRC is now one of the largest exporters of recyclables to China and the burgeoning Asian economies. The Company maintains an office in Shanghai to assist in both the sale and procurement of commodities to and from China.

CHRC offers a wide range of services to generators and consumers of secondary recyclable materials, including secondary fiber and plastics marketing, fiber management and equipment financing.
